She’s been in film and on television since 1979, which is why you recognize both her name and her face. Lorraine Bracco is an actress who has done it all, and she’s done it well. From being nominated for Emmy awards to being nominated for a Golden Globe, her work has been more than just good. She’s one of those actresses who knew she was in for the ride of her life when she began her career, and she’s worked hard to ensure she would keep that up as she got older. She’s not going anywhere even when a career spanning more than 40-years already. What don’t we know about her?

1. She’s in her 60s

Lorraine Bracco is a woman who has aged well. She was born on October 2, 1954. She has very natural beauty, and she doesn’t look like the kind of woman who has work done regularly. We don’t know if she does have work done, but we know that she’s aged well and with a natural look, and that’s impressive for a woman in Hollywood.

2. She’s From New York

Born and raised, and she spent her entire childhood there. She was born in 1954 in Bay Ridge, which is a neighborhood in the Brooklyn area. When she was a little older, her parents moved the family to the Westbury area. This is outside the city on Long Island. She was raised there and graduated high school there.

3. She’s Got Siblings

Her mother and father met when her father served in World War II. Her mother was born in England and came to America with her husband, Salvatore Bracco. where they raised Lorraine, her sister, and her brother in New York. Her sister, Elizabeth Bracco, is another name you might recognize because she, too, is an actress with a long list of successful work behind her.

4. She’s Had a Lot of Love in Her Life

She’s not a woman who has missed out on love. She’s been in love many times. She was married to her first husband from 1979 until 1982 when their divorce was finalized. The same year, she began dating Harvey Keitel. They were together for 11 years. They ended their romance in 1993. She then married Edward James Olmos in 1994, and their marriage lasted approximately eight years until their 2002 divorce. She’s not had a serious romantic partner – to our knowledge- since.

5. She Left New York For France

She lived in New York the first 20 years of her life, but she had to go in 1974. She had a bigger calling, which was a move to France. Her mother is of French descent, so it worked out for her. She moved to France and began modeling for high fashion designer Jean-Paul Gaultier. She spent the next 10 years of her life in France, and we think that’s one of those things you never regret doing.

6. She’s a Mom

She has two kids, but not with the same man. Her daughter, Margaux Guerard is hers with her first husband. She was born sometime during their short marriage. Her second daughter is Stella Keitel, born in 1985. She shares her with her long-time love Harvey Keitel.

7. She’s On Reality Television

She’s made the decision to go a new route with her life, and that has taken her straight to reality television. However, it’s not the dramatic kind that involves flipping dinner tables and sharing secrets while dressed in sequin gowns and too much foundation. She’s headed to HGTV to renovate a house in Italy. We love it. It’s called “My Big Italian Adventure,” and you won’t believe what she paid for her home that was built more than 200 years ago. One euro.

8. She’s Doing a Cool Thing

You, too, can buy a house for basically nothing in Sambuca di Sicilia. It’s about an hour from Palermo, Italy. The village is looking to revamp its old, antiquated, ugly homes, so the village is selling them for one euro to bring more people to the area. The caveat is that you are basically buying a mess and you have three years to renovate it and move in.

9. She Loves Real Estate

She actually calls it her porn. She cannot stop looking at it. She cannot stop wanting it. She cannot stop buying it. She has an obsession, which is probably why she is all in with the entire concept of HGTV. But, admittedly, we are all on board with pretty much anything HGTV wants to sell us. It’s magic.

10. She’s Still Private

She has one of the most amazing careers in Hollywood working on some of the most amazing shows ever on television, but she still maintains an air of privacy in her life. She’s not sharing anything she doesn’t want to share, and this is another touch of her magic, if you ask us.
