What the hell is going on with this Batman movie? I’ve already said that it’s destined to fail and that studios should put a stop to this immediately. But no one’s listening to me. First Ben Affleck is going to direct and star in it. Nope. Affleck bows out as director and rumors swirl that he’s not going to be in the movie altogether. Then Matt Reeves eventually made his announcement as director official and things seemed to be OK again. But folks, I’ve said this before and I’ll say it again, don’t ever make another Batman movie without Christopher Nolan, seriously.
However, as karma would have it, the one guy, the only guy that seemed to be a constant in this movie, Joe Manganiello, is now iffy about the film? The guy who was getting in shape and doing martial arts to train for his part of Deathstroke is bowing out? The guy who even said that the reason the film was being delayed was to “get it right” is now questionable? It seems quite possible given his latest comments.
While speaking with Pittsburgh Today Live, the actor was asked about his involvement in The Batman. Though in the past he’s always seemed overly positive about the project, it now appears that he’s changing his tune. When the interviewer asked Manganiello if he’d be appearing in the flick, he simply replied with, “Umm. Maybe. We’ll see.”
This can be interpreted in any way you see fit but I don’t see this as a positive. Maybe he’s just completely worn out about all this Batman talk. But from a guy who seemed to positive and amped about his part, the comment seems worrisome.
