While the threat of a robot or machine apocalypse is very real in our not too distant future, there’s one species that probably won’t be taking over the human race anytime soon. Even though a new trilogy of Planet of the Apes will conclude with The War for the Planet of the Apes this summer, if you look at the evolution of actual apes, we humans don’t have much to fear, yet. Case in point is this recent 30 second video of a gorilla named Zola at the Dallas Zoo.
Zola has a penchant for cooling off in the kiddie pool. Not only that, it seems as though Zola was trying to break some kind of Guinness Book of World Records for the amount of spins one could perform in a kiddie pool. There’s no doubt that Caesar would be appalled by this. Thankfully Caesar doesn’t exist and we can continue laughing at the antics of gorillas in zoos.
