The Young and the Restless is about to hit the weekend with a vengeance. What we mean is that this show is going to punch the weekend in the face and make everyone’s jaws drop. Jill is angry. We mean angry with a capital A. Colin took her money, spent it all, and she is shocked. She’s out for blood, and we think she might just get it. We do feel compelled, however, to point out that she doesn’t have that much to be upset about if she wants to get down to it. She met Colin when he was a career criminal. Like so many women, she assumed she was ‘the one’ who could change him and make him become an honest person who loves her. The man was a career criminal, and she was a fool to think she could change him.
Now he’s done what he does, and she’s upset. She’s so blindsided by his actions that she cannot see straight. She seems to have forgotten she decided to pursue a relationship with a man who makes it his goal in life to con people, but that’s not her fault, right? She’s in a cloud of anger and she’s not going to let him get away with it. She married the man knowing he was a criminal and knowing he owed money to all the wrong people.
But why would Jill assume this was a bad idea of epic proportions? Her friends and family warned her that this was not a good idea. Marrying a criminal like Colin would come back to haunt her, but why would she care about that at all? She’s got no reason to be upset with anyone but herself, but she’s managed to ignore her own faults and look only at those of her husband. She’s seeing red right now, and we have to believe she’s going to take that out on him. Rumor has it she might let the mob know where to find him to get her own revenge on him for stealing all her money. Would she?
