I’m still trying to accept the fact that an Emoji movie actually exists but the fact that Patrick Stewart plays Emoji poop definitely makes me feel a little better about the whole thing. The internet is on fire today because The Emoji Movie trailer has been released. But if you want a tale of the best Emoji Movie release you’d have to travel to France for that one. According to Deadline
Sony Pictures got a leg up on marketing at the Cannes Film Festival today, launching its trailer for The Emoji Movie and launching TJ Miller literally into the air. In the spirit of Sacha Baron Cohen’s “man hammock” swimsuit Cannes beach stunt in 2006 (and of course Sony’s pre-festival stunt for The Angry Birds Movie last year), Miller strapped in and parasailed along the Cannes coastline, fully mic-ed, and ended up on the pier to present the movie’s trailer.
As many of you already know, T.J. Miller doesn’t only play a whack job in 99% of his roles, he’s also known to do some super strange things in real life from time to time. How high is this on his list of weird? Not very, but it’s still fun to watch Miller doing anything out of the ordinary.
