There were plenty of fun Father’s day moments with celebrities and entertainers that I could have selected to share with all of you but I’m pretty sure this one of Dave Grohl’s daughter is my favorite. While many of us dads would like Father’s day to be about us, when you have cute, adorable children it’s nearly impossible not to make the day about them. That’s exactly what the Foo Fighters’ front man did at a concert in Iceland yesterday.
When it was time for the drums to be taken over, his little daughter took on the task, and she nailed it. Harper Grohl jumped on stage with the Foo Fighters at the Secret Solstice Festival in Reykjavik, Iceland to play a cover of Queen’s “We Will Rock You.”
Grohl said that his daughter told him that she wanted to play drums, “I said, ‘Do you want want me to teach you?’ She said, ‘Yes.’ And then I said, ‘Do you want to get up in front of 20,000 people in Iceland and play?’ And she said, ‘Yes.’” “My days are numbered,” Hawkins said at the end of the tiny Grohl’s performance. “Ladies and gentleman, welcome the next generation… there’s another Grohl on the drum set now,” Grohl said.
