Trailer For “The Room” Assuming it Had a 70% on Rotten Tomatoes

If, in some parallel dimension where this type of acting, plot, and cinematography were ever to be considered worth 70 percent on Rotten Tomatoes, then it would still be considered as one of the worst ever films that’s been allowed to come to fruition. You don’t even need to watch the entire movie to know it’s bad, just watch a few clips, the trailer, anything that runs for more than a couple minutes and you will know exactly why this film has never been spoken of in a good way.

The need to criticize films is typically something that I don’t feel an overwhelming need to do but this one is simply begging for the derision it receives with every scene. The acting is beyond horrible, the plot is something that should have been squashed the moment it was realized, and the entire film is a walking, talking cluster bomb that shouldn’t have even been considered as a subject for Rotten Tomatoes to comment on. Let it die a peaceful death rather than drag it out again and again for continual scorn.

The really sad thing about it is that there is probably someone in the world that would take the time to defend it and attempt to play upon whatever positives it might have had. One positive comes to mind, when it finally ends.  Never in my life have I seen a movie that was so worthy of the scorn that was heaped upon it by so many, not even in the 80’s did a film reek this bad and garner this much absolute hatred from critics and viewers alike.

The fantasy of giving this any thing above a 1 percent on Rotten Tomatoes is almost offensive to film makers and writers but falls just short of it since the reality is that someone did try in the effort of making this movie. That’s about the only other good thing that can be said about it and quite honestly it’s nowhere near enough to make it seem any more interesting than it already is as the kind of film oddity that it really is.

Normally when critics go after a movie it’s a good indication that a person should see it for themselves. This would allow them the chance to see if the critics really do know what they’re talking about or if they’re just blowing a bunch of hot air like usual. But with The Room you can assume that critics are being straightforward and honest since it stinks that bad. Nearly every part of it is just horrible, from the beginning to the end. The female lead, Lisa, is about as much of a ditz as can be while still attempting to show her acting talent. Sorry I had to laugh just thinking of the word ‘talent’ being used in this film. In the meantime the male lead is just all over the map, as are his costars in describing their feelings and how they react to any given situation.

Just talking about the film is confusing.
