The Top Uses of the Doors “Light My Fire” in Movies or TV

The Doors didn’t often like to follow rules, well at least Morrison didn’t, and it occasionally got them all in trouble with noted celebrities and other that didn’t care for their attempts to flout the way things needed to be. They were a band that lived like free spirits for a while though while Morrison was their front man and Light My Fire was something of a standout hit despite the fact that a lot of people didn’t care for some of the lines that seemed to reference drug use. This was one of the things that would tend to get them in trouble when they refused to take certain lines out and preferred to do things their way. It was the carefree living days and ways that Morrison seemed to enjoy, but not everyone fully appreciated.

Light My Fire is one of those songs that gets stuck in your head without any way to get it out.

5. Rock Star 3

If you can play this song and be completely accurate then you definitely have a good ear for music and a talent that could possibly translate to the real thing. Somehow though the game is almost just as hard as the real thing. The songs are broken down into their individual notes so it seems like it would be possible to use this as your basis for learning how to play.

4. Family Ties

Trying to reason that the straight-laced and highly conservative Alex would ever listen to anything remotely fun seems kind of hard to accept, but when you watch the clip you get the idea that he knows how to cut loose when few other people are watching. Isn’t that just the case with some people? They’re all closed off until they’re comfortable and then it all comes out.

3. The Doors

The Doors was said by some to be fairly accurate while to others it wasn’t all that great. It’s hard to know unless you were a devoted Doors fan and even then so much went on beyond the scope of the fans that it’s hard to know anything that happened. One thing is for certain, they didn’t make a lot of friends on the Ed Sullivan show that night.

2. Castaway

This one was just kind of fun to find. Being able to make fire is definitely something that you would need on an island in the middle of nowhere. The luxury of cooking your food is one that I feel that a lot of people wouldn’t know how to do without, and just the idea of keeping warm at night is nice when you really think about it. The literal meaning of light my fire is sometimes the best.

1. The Ed Sullivan Show

Apparently the people behind the scenes wanted the band to change the line “girl we couldn’t get much higher” since it referenced drug use. Obviously even though they said they would the band wasn’t that cool with since they went ahead with the original line. They were told they would never do Ed Sullivan’s show again, to which Morrison replied that they already did the show.

Yeah, that was Jim Morrison, one of the last of the real attitude era.
