As everyone is gearing up for the Super Bowl 50 halftime show, we figured we’d do a little research on some of the performers before going in. While we all know that Coldplay and Beyoncé will be on stage, it has recently been announced that Bruno Mars will be joining them. The singer announced on Instagram Friday that he’ll be appearing with his good friend Chris Martin and his band, Coldplay, during the Super Bowl halftime show on Sunday. Mars joins Beyoncé as the second confirmed special guest to appear during Coldplay’s set.
“Mars has landed,” he wrote on Instagram in the two posts confirming his involvement. “It ain’t a party if Mr $how Up & $how out doesn’t show up.” If you’ll recall, Mars had an incredible show stopping performance in 2014 at the Super Bowl in East Rutherford, New Jersey. Here’s his Instagram post.
And if you’re interested in seeing little Bruno Mars performing as a little Elvis you can always watch the clip above. Yup, that’s him as a little Elvis Impersonator in the movie “Honeymoon in Las Vegas” starring Sarah Jessica Parker, Nicolas Cage, and James Caan. Talk about a walk down memory lane!
