Mondays may be known for being dreadful and boring, but not on General Hospital. This week has already gotten off to an interesting start, and there’s plenty more where that came from. Over the last few weeks, many of the people in Port Charles have been facing some serious obstacles, and Johnny and Lulu have certainly been given their fair share. Over the last few episodes, it’s become very clear that their revenge plot against Lulu’s cousin, Valerie, wasn’t going to go as planned. Although they tried to kidnap Valerie, the plan backfired, and now Johnny and Lulu could be facing some serious legal repercussions. It’s actually kind of crazy how they really didn’t think they were going to get caught, but now that they have it’s going to be interesting to see what happens next. Johnny has already proven his loyalty to Lulu by not rating her out to the Port Charles police, but now he’s going to have to face the consequences for the crime he committed. It’s sad that he has to go out this way, but this is what happens when you get caught up with the wrong crowd.
Johnny may have thought he was doing all of this for love, but looks like love has landed him in the slammer. And unfortunately for Johnny, it doesn’t look like no one cares about his situation except for Lulu. Hindsight is definitely 20/20, and maybe Lulu would have done things differently if she would have known that things were going to end this way. However, it was clear that she was acting purely off of emotion, and hadn’t really thought this whole thing through.
Outside of her situation with Johnny, Lulu is dealing with some issues of her own. She’s tried apologizing to Valerie, but it goes without saying that Valerie simply isn’t interested. After all, how can any apology be good enough when you’ve gone to great lengths to try to ruin someone’s life? It seems like Lulu is being a little naive, and perhaps she doesn’t understand the significance of her actions. Also, her relationship with Dante is up in the air at this point, and spoilers indicate that things won’t be getting any better. Things may be over between Dante and Lulu, but what does that mean for Dante and Valerie? Love can really make people act out of character, and this is something that all of these people know all too well.
Meanwhile, other characters in the show will also be dealing with some serious issues. Over the last several episodes, Jake’s temper has proven to be a real problem. His dislike for Sam has really gone overboard, and at this point, it’s unclear whether it’s even safe for him to be around her. Well, with the upcoming story line looking like Sam and Jason are only going to continue to further their relationship, Jake’s anger problems are likely going to get even worse. It appears that Jake is going to fly into such a rage against Sam that Jason is going to have to step in and intervene. Of course, Jake’s behavior stems from the fact that he doesn’t want his father and Sam to be together, but it looks like he’s only going to bring them closer together. When Jason rescues Sam, the two are going to share an intimate moment, and this could push both Jake and Liz over the edge.
With lots of new storylines unfolding, the people of Port Charles better be prepared for a wild ride. Sure, Johnny has been loyal to Lulu so far, but could that change? Will Jake’s behavior get so out of control that it drives a permanent wedge between him and his father?
