Sneaker Artist Turns Nike Command Forces into Stormtrooper Helmet

As everyone knows yesterday was May the 4th which marked another Star Wars day celebration for fans around the world.  It was impossible for us to get to every single awesome thing that happened so you’ll forgive me for this post being a bit late.  In any event, it’s nice to know how well embraced Star Wars day is and that all of us can go out there, dress in our geeky attire and know that pretty much else is doing the same without any repercussions like getting a wedgie or getting beaten up by the cool kids.   Anyway, something I spotted that was particularly awesome was this Nike stormtrooper helmet.

California-based artist Gary Lockwood, aka Freehand Profit, has been transforming sneakers into incredible masks that sell for thousands of dollars since 2010. In that time, he has made some great Star Wars-inspired pieces, with a First Order Stormtrooper helmet made from Nike Command Forces unveiled just in time for Star Wars Day. Check out the Stormtrooper and some more Star Wars-inspired masks from previous years below and see more photos at Freehand Profit.
