Australia flaunts having created the most luminary drag queen movies in history, Priscilla Queen of the Desert. Word on Twitter is that Australia’s season six runner — up Courtney Act is set to anchor the show. However, this is unlikely due to Courtney’s flimsy relationship with RuPaul. She has openly reprimanded Ru for his political views and the way he speaks about Trans women on Pink News. Ru even went ahead and blocked Courtney Act on Twitter after a controversial mini-challenge deemed female or shemale.
Courtney Act has also publicly stated that she would never return to the show as a contender. She even questioned the editing of the show while asserting that the show made her look ‘bitchy.’ In an appearance on a British morning show “The Wright Stuff.” Courtney, whose real name is Shane Janek, admitted that she loves watching the show, but the possibility of her contending again is so improbable. The show, however, can never lack the right emcee since it has some strong Aussie ties. For instance, Ru Paul is married to an Australian man Georges LeBar. Bianca Del Rio is also another product and graduate of Drag Race season six who might also be in line for the host position. She has demonstrated to be a massive success with Australian audiences after four sell-out tours. Other alumni such as Trixie Mattel and Alyssa Edwards have also toured Australia successfully. However, Bianca Del Rio is the funniest of the group, and her last Aussie tour was notable. Could one of them be handed RuPaul’s Drag Race Australia hosting shoes?
