Pete Davidson Gives a Sordid Yet Humorous Response to Kevin Love’s Anxiety Admission

Pete Davidson’s sordid yet humorous response to Kevin Love’s admission about his anxiety attack is something that you wouldn’t probably say to the man’s face but you certainly don’t see people pouring out heaps of sympathy for unless they really don’t get the idea of what a panic attack is. Despite reading his story it’s still pretty hard to feel sorry for Love since his panic attack was something that sounded genuine but wasn’t the kind of thing that some people go through on a regular basis. You missed your free throws, your game was off, you had trouble focusing? Sit still for a moment and gather yourself or go back to the locker room and chill for a bit. That’s your mind telling you that things aren’t right and you need a moment to reboot.

He was fine to be quite honest. Everything checked out and he was back in action just two days later. That’s a case for fine-tuning, not for freaking out because you had an episode. Pete Davidson is obviously laying it on a bit thick and there’s no doubt that pro ballplayers have it rough at times too, but with so many resources at their beck and call it’s hard to feel sorry for them in instances like these. If you feel something isn’t right then do what you were taught, man up and handle the situation. Oh you don’t want anyone to know about it? Then get ready for things to get worse, because holding it in and not talking is one way to insure that the little attack you just suffered is going to build and build until finally it won’t feel like you’re trying to jump out of your skin, you’ll be trying to climb the walls while feeling like you’re having an out of body experience.

Feeling sorry for someone that has every opportunity to talk to a professional that could help them out and keep it discreet is kind of tough since at some point it just sounds like so much whining and the worst part is that people will pay attention because he’s a celebrity. The millions upon millions of people in the world that suffer from mental health problems and can’t afford a top-level psychiatrist or counselor are no doubt wishing that they could just tell someone that wouldn’t simply prescribe them pills or tell them that things will get okay. But hey, you keep on telling yourself that you need to be strong and that this was a defining moment in your life, because really it was. It’s the moment when you get to stand up and take care of yourself like a sane human being for once and don’t make a huge case out of it since so many others don’t.

Mental health is extremely important for many people in all walks of life and doesn’t need to be trivialized like this because a single athlete suddenly realized he was having a mild panic attack. Yes, that’s right, mild.
