Park Hyung-sik is a multiple award-winning actor and singer from South Korea. At such a young age, Hyung-sik has recorded many feats as a performer. Park Hyung-sik was born on November 16, 1991, in Yongin, South Korea. He has a brother named Min-sik Park. Hyung-sik’s mother is a piano teacher while his father is a member of BMW Korea’s board of directors. He got his name from a Buddhist monk, the same religion his mother and grandmother practise. Growing up in Gyeonggi Province, Hyung-sik developed an interest in music and joined the band in his middle school as a vocalist.
As a budding singer, Park Hyung-sik covered contemporary Korean artists and participated in the Yongin Music Contest with the school band. With his parents’s support, Hyung-sik began training as a singer and dancer and continued in high school. He trained with Star Empire Entertainment for two years and was introduced to the label’s boy group ZE:A. In his formative years, he appeared in the music video of Date by Jewelry S who belonged to the same label. Hyung-ski later teamed up with bandmates Siwan, Kevin, Minwoo, and Dongjun to form a sub-unit called ZE:A Five.

After working on a ZE:A project in early 2010, Park Hyung-sik made cameo appearances on Prosecutor Princess, Marry Me, and Gloria. He also joined the theater and performed in the musical Temptation of Wolves. He bagged his debut television role in 2012, appearing as Tae-song, and followed it up with roles in Dummy Mommy and My Husband Got a Family. In 2013, Hyung-sik portrayed twin brothers in Sirius and joined the cast of the hit teen drama The Heirs the same year. He also appeared in Nine alongside Lee Jin-wook and Jo Yoon-hee.
Park Hyung-ski was part of the main cast of What’s With This Family in 2014 and High Society in 2015. After playing Sammaekjong in Hwarang: The Poet Warrior Youth (2016), Hyung-sik scored his first leading role as Ahn Min-hyuk in Strong Girl Bong-soon and reprised the role in a cameo appearance in Strong Girl Nam-soon (2023). His other television credits include Suits as Go Yeon-woo, Happiness as Jung Yi-hyun, Our Blooming Youth as Lee Hwan, and Doctor Slump as Yeo Jeong-woo. Hyung-sik made his feature film debut in Juror 8 (2019) as Kwon Nam-woo.
He Left Acting To Enlist In The Military In 2019
While Park Hyung-sik became popular for his appearances on Real Man in 2013, he began the mandatory military service on June 10, 2019. Real Man is a variety show that follows eight male celebrities as they experience life in the military. He was fondly called “Baby Soldier” on the show. Hyung-sik began his basic military training at the Nonsan Army Recruit Training Center in South Chungcheong Province. He completed his service in the Capital Defense Command.
After serving as an active-duty soldier, Park Hyung was discharged in January 2021. He returned to his acting career with a television role in the apocalyptic series, Happiness the same year. The Korean actor has remained active in his acting career with less focus on music. he also established his own management agency, P&Studio as a subsidiary of United Artists Agency.

Park Hyung-sik has earned several award nominations for his stellar onscreen performances. As a newcomer, he scored many nominations and won prestigious awards, including MBC Entertainment Awards’ Best Male Newcomer in a Variety Show for his role on Real Man in 2013. He was nominated in the category of Excellence Male Award in a Variety Show for the same role the next year. He was also nominated for Best New Actor at the APAN Star Awards for his portrayal of Cha Dal-bong in What’s With This Family and won the KBS Drama Awards’ Best Couple Award with his co-star Nam Ji-hyun.
2015 was a prolific year for Hyung-sik who received the Contemporary (Mont Blanc Homme) Award and received nominations for Best New Actor – Television (Baeksang Arts Awards) for What’s With This Family and Best Couple Award (SBS Drama Awards) for High Society. He also won two SBS Drama Awards for his role in High Society the same year, including the New Star Award. In 2017, Hyung-sik won The Seoul Awards’ Popularity Award, Actor for his role in Strong Girl Bong-soo. He won the Best Couple Award for the same role with Park Bo-young in 2018.
For his performance in Suits, Park Hyung-sik was nominated for three awards in 2018, including Excellence Award, Actor in a Miniseries by the APAN Star Awards and KBS Drama Awards. He won the latter’s Netizen Award for the role. Other notable awards won by Hyung-sik include the Blue Dragon Film Awards’ Popular Star Award for Juror 8 and the Asia Top Awards’ Best Actor (2023) for Our Blooming Youth.
