For those of you Star Wars rumor hounds, there’s a bit of juicy information that just surfaced about the “Force Tree” in Star Wars: The Last Jedi. The tree was spotted in set pictures last year for filming scenes set on Ach-To, the planet Luke and Rey are on at the end of The Force Awakens.
Apparently, the tree, of significant Force sensitivity will be laid low at some point in the film, engulfed in flames thanks to the work of a mysterious agent. According to new speculation, the culprit of lighting the tree on fire may very well be Kylo Ren in an attempt to lure out Luke Skywalker. And if you’ve been following movie news, there’s significant evidence to suggest that Kylo Ren and his knights will be involved in a major action sequence. Add to that Ren’s character and personality, him burning down a tree is not too far fetched an idea.
In other Star Wars news, Justin Theroux is more than likely going to make an appearance in the film as a “slicer” or the Star Wars word for hacker. Rumor has it he’ll be wearing a white tuxedo jacket over a black suit. “Imagine Indiana Jones’ white tuxedo from Temple of Doom but weirder and with a Star Wars twist.”
When more news becomes available, you’ll be in the know.
