NCIS: Los Angeles Preview: Has Nate Turned on NCIS?

NCIS: Los Angeles

Nate Getz is a trusted member of NCIS. A member of the original Office of Special Projects team under the guidance of Hetty Lange, Nate has remained close with his colleagues even when he was half a world away. But when Nate returns to NCIS: Los Angeles tonight, his loyalty comes into question.

When Operational Psychologist Nate Getz was introduced in the backdoor pilot to what would become NCIS: Los Angeles, on the NCIS episode “Legend”, he was just a lovable guy who was very valued by his peers. He was a main cast member all through the first season of the series before being written out in a storyline that put him on assignment in the Middle East. He is considered an Operational Liaison in the the Middle East where he puts together psychological profiles on criminals and terrorists in the region. Nate comes back to Los Angeles occasionally based on Hetty’s request. He’s aided his Los Angeles based friends in their trips abroad and lent Hetty a hand when a member of the team was down, such as when Detective Marty Deeks was recovering from being tortured on an assignment and needed a psychological evaluation.

Nate has grown since his early days with NCIS. He’s taken on assignments which put him in the middle of combat zones and have also made him a hot commodity as an in-field operator, as he has been assigned to aid other intelligence organizations over the years. Yet still, he has remained loyal to Hetty and NCIS; at least, until now. When Nate returns to Los Angeles in tonight’s episode, the team has serious concerns that Nate has been turned.

“Head of the Snake”-When operational psychologist Nate Getz fails to check in with Hetty during his undercover assignment, the team discovers that he’s become mixed up with a notorious crime boss.

Do you think Nate has become the enemy, or is he just playing a dangerous game?
