For many tourists visiting Bali, a large attraction and great adventure is hiking Mt Agung Volcano.
A few years back I did the same and I couldn’t believe how awe-inspiring it was, not to mention how hard it was!
So the news of it erupting is shocking, to say the least.
For those who haven’t seen I have collected some information from various sources to inform and help everyone be aware of whats happening so we can send as much aid as they need.
FACTS SO FAR
– Mount Agung sent an ash cloud into the sky when it erupted on Saturday
– The magmatic eruption comes after steam-blast eruption on Tuesday
– The aviation warning level has been upgraded to red
– An up to 7.5 kilometer exclusion zone extends from the volcano’s summit
