Mother and 7-Year-Old Daughter Do Amazing Cosplay As Disney Characters

This is a cosplay story with a happy purpose not to mention quality result.  Meet little 7-year-old Layla.  Layla initially had issues with being shy until two years ago her mother helped her gain confidence.  Camilla Courts took her took her daughter to Disneyland’s Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique and got her a dress. Their first photo came out so great that they have been cosplaying ever since.  It turns out that when Layla does cosplay it helps her “come out of her shell” and gain confidence in herself.

Now the mother and daughter cosplay duo have an Instagram following of close to 20,000 people.  They do all the dress work themselves and whatever extra work is leftover gets farmed out to local seamstresses.  Layla loves to dress as Disney princesses and her mother prefers the villains. Their favorite photoshoot was “The Little Mermaid” where Layla was Arial and Camilla turned herself into Ursula.

Besides cosplaying as Disney characters, the 7-year-old has also dressed as Princess Leia and BB-8 from the “Star Wars”. She also cosplayed as Rowena Ravenclaw from Harry Potter and Violet from “The Incredibles.”
