While they didn’t officially state it, Matty Healy’s relationship timeline will not be complete without Halsey. The two musicians connected after his split from Jones and Halsey shared many pictures of them getting cozy together. During a 2015 interview with Billboard, Halsey hinted at her relationship with Healy saying; “We’re both attracted to characters, and we saw that in each other,” Halsey says slowly. “I spent a lot of time watching him and he spent a lot of time loving being watched.”

The Blank Space singer and Healy were first linked in 2014 but the rumors were debunked by both music stars. However, they did spend enough time together and were photographed in public. The 1975 rocker was spotted kissing Bechtel in September 2023, confirming rumors about them. In June 2024, Healy sent shockwaves through the internet when news about his engagement to Bechtel went viral.
Though they reportedly got engaged in May, Bechtel shared photos of herself wearing her engagement ring after attending Charli XCX‘s show with Healy in June. “MARRYING THE 1975 IS VERY BRAT,” she captioned the Instagram story.
