Who isn’t familiar with reality television star and popular singer Mariah Carey? Even people that don’t really consider themselves fans know who she is as soon as they hear the name. This alone attests to her popularity and the fact that she has managed make a name for herself and remain relevant in a world where it is extremely difficult to do so. Where many other performers have fallen by the wayside, her career has spanned several decades now, something that is almost impossible for many stars to achieve. For people that are dedicated fans, it is important to know that she is in no way thinking of slowing down. In fact, she is just finishing up some projects and beginning new ones. As her career continues to progress, she is finding new and innovative ways of keeping her name in the spotlight.
If you follow her closely, you probably already know that an eight part television special called “Mariah’s World” just finished airing a short time ago. This was basically a behind-the-scenes reality television show that gave you an insight into her personal and professional life. Many fans were actually disappointed to learn that it wasn’t going to be renewed for a second season, but Carey has attempted to provide reassurance for fans that this was never the intention to begin with. It was always designed to be eight episodes and eight episodes only.
The good news is that she will begin a brand new tour early next year, during 2018, and she plans on working closely with a major music network in order to have the tour filmed. The purpose of the whole thing is to celebrate the 20-year anniversary of “Butterfly.” Ideally, filming is designed to show moments behind the scenes and focus on that aspect of the tour more than showing her in concert. Fans will likely be pleased because that is basically the same format that “Mariah’s World” followed. Therefore, you should be able to get a lot of the same information even though she will be on the road at the time. The tour is set to air it a later date on VH1. This is definitely something that dedicated fans can look forward to, and in reality, they won’t really have to wait that long to enjoy it.
This is not the only project that Carey has in the works, either. She still plans on maintaining her Christmas concert and performing in that aspect, something that has become an annual event. She even has an animated film that centers around Christmas which is scheduled for release on November 14th.
As you can see, it doesn’t look like she plans on quitting any time soon. If anything, she has more projects in the works now than she has had in quite some time. This is certainly good news for anyone that enjoys listening to her music or following her through her reality television endeavors. One thing is certain, fans of Mariah Carey will certainly be able to get even more access and more insight into her life by watching the tour that will be filmed and air on VH1, as well as her other upcoming projects.
