Finding success as a professional actor isn’t an easy thing to do, but Manolo Cardona has done it. He has been acting on screen for more than 25 years and he’s managed to find consistency in an industry where that can be nearly impossible to come by. Throughout his career, Manolo has become known to viewers all across the world and he has been a part of productions in multiple countries. Recently, he has been getting a lot of attention for his role in the new Netflix series Who Killed Sara? His work in the series is a prime example of how talented he is and people are already looking forward to seeing what he does next. Here are 10 things you didn’t know about Manolo Cardona.

1. He Is From Colombia

Unlike many of the other cast members from Who Killed Sara? Manolo is not from Mexico. He was born and raised in Colombia and as far as we can tell, he still lives there today. He comes from a close-knit family. His mother is a psychologist and his father is a politician.

2. He Has Behind The Scenes Experience

Acting may be what Manolo is famous for, but it’s certainly not his only contribution to the world of entertainment. He also loves being on the other side of the camera and he has built up some very solid behind-the-scenes experience over the years as a director and producer.

3. He Studied Finance

Manolo’s path to becoming an actor wasn’t as straight and narrow as many of his peers. Instead of immediately jumping into acting training, Manolo chose to focus his college education on finance and international relationships. He eventually went on to study film in Spain.

4. He Started As A Model

Manolo’s good looks are probably one of the first things people notice about him, and they’ve been a major asset to him throughout his career. He began modeling at a young age and landed spots in several commercials and fashion shows in Colombia.

5. He Has Won Awards

Most creative people do what they do simply because they love it, but that doesn’t mean they don’t want to be recognized for all of the hard work they put in. Manolo’s work has been recognized several times in his career in the form of awards. Most recently, he won an Imagen Foundation Award in 2008 for Best Supporting Actor. With the way his career is going, there’s a very good chance he’ll take home more awards in the future.

6. He Is A Husband And Father

Manolo has never been one to share much information about his personal life, but we do know that he is a very devoted family man. He has been married to Valeria Santos since 2012 and the couple has one child together. When Manolo gets a break from work he loves spending time with his family.

Soccer is one of the most popular sports in the world and Manolo is one of the countless people who love the game. Not only does Manolo enjoy watching soccer matches, but playing soccer is one of Manolo’s favorite ways to keep himself in shape and pass the time.

10. He Enjoys Traveling

The world is such a beautiful place and it has so many things to offer. While it’s not possible to see every single thing, Manolo wants to see as much as he can. He has been lucky to be in a position that has allowed him to travel frequently and he has visited several countries including Italy and France. During his travels, Manolo loves taking pictures of the various sights. No matter where he goes though, Colombia will always be one of his favorite places to be.
