For the newer generation of people who watch This is Us, most if not all will have no clue that she was, once upon a time, a Brittney Spears teeny bopper type singer. It’s hard to believe, I know, but back in the late 90s and early 2000s Moore was about as big a pop star as anyone. That makes me appreciate her role on This is Us even more (no pun intended). Moore really caught the acting bug back in 2001 when she appeared in The Princess Diaries and she really hasn’t looked back.
But when you think about it, going from teen pop star to TV star is not easy. It’s almost like her 15 years on television and not being a huge music star truly helped her career. All of sudden you have this seasoned actress who completely deserved her shot to star in this show and she’s shined beautifully.
However, I will say this. You have to think that her co-stars absolutely rag on her at least once a day singing some of her old hits. I know I would be doing that if I were Milo Ventimiglia. I just how that one day when the credits are rolling on This is Us that they play the song “I wanna be with you.”
