On the 15th of March, Spain announced a very strict quarantine: it is only allowed to go grocery shopping or to the pharmacy. All businesses are closed and people work from their homes (those who can).
As a freelance illustrator, I found my way of dealing with difficulties of confinement: I started a visual diary of our lockdown. Every day I make drawings in which I reflect on news, discussions, and trends in social networks, my perception of the situation and emotions that it provoked.
Let’s go through these hard times together without losing a sense of humor. Stay home, be safe.

The experience of lockdown can be quite overwhelming, but it’s also an opportunity to tap into our creative reserves. Just as the #StayHome photo competition captured diverse perspectives from around the globe, my visual diary aims to depict the everyday nuances of quarantine life. By keeping a sense of humor, we can look forward to brighter days while cherishing our moments at home.
