Legends of Tomorrow Season 4

Legends of Tomorrow has been the leading time-traveling comedy, and although it didn’t necessarily start as a strong-winded comedy, the drama of the show has slowly gotten overshadowed by comedy in later seasons, outside of the dark plot setting for each season. Below we’ve detailed Legends of Tomorrow Season 4, the characters and overall plot of the season, as well as the earlier seasons of the show and how it has compared to Legends of Tomorrow Season 4.

Legends of Tomorrow

Legends of Tomorrow started in 2016 as a spin-off of the existing Arrowverse shows, Arrow, The Flash, and Supergirl, but as the characters of Legends of Tomorrow travel throughout different points in history and interact with known characters from world history, comedy has started to take over the series by the time Legends of Tomorrow Season 4 had premiered on The CW. The only Arrowverse media that may have more of a wild mind than Legends of Tomorrow would likely be the crossovers that include the entirety of the Arrowverse and its setting, characters, and more.

Legends of Tomorrow Pre-Season 4

While Legends of Tomorrow has gotten to Season 7, it was the last since the show was canceled before the season could be altered as a proper finale. However, before Season 4 and certainly before Season 7, Legends of Tomorrow already dealt with various foes and issues. Legends of Tomorrow Season 1 featured the formation of the Legends of Tomorrow following the death of its founder, Rip Hunter’s family, as he wished to stop Vandal Savage’s rise to power to stop him from conquering the Earth in the future. The end of Legends of Tomorrow Season 1 showed the sacrifice of Captain Cold, further showing his change of heart from befriending Barry Allen and the ultimate defeat of the Time Masters and Vandal Savage, as well as Chronos. Legends of Tomorrow Season 2 started with some of the most influential and notable villains from The Flash and Arrow working together and forming the Legion of Doom, along with a time-displaced Leonard Snart. Legends of Tomorrow Season 3 featured a bit more of a mixup between the villains of the Legion of Doom and the Time Masters as it was more focused on the demon Mallus and his hold on Nora Darhk. The events from the Legends of Tomorrow Season 3 finale led directly to Legends of Tomorrow Season 4, in which Constantine informed the Legends of Tomorrow of several other demons released, not just Mallus.

Legends of Tomorrow Season 4 Characters

As Legends of Tomorrow Season 3 focused on demons and elements of the supernatural, it was only sensible to get John Constantine to join the Legends of Tomorrow for their next adventure, which was loaded with his magical knowledge. John Constantine has been one of the background characters for most DC Comics issues and events but when supernatural situations arise, so does the elegance of John Constantine and his wit. While Constantine went directly to the Legends of Tomorrow with his concerns for Season 4, other characters and plots made it among the most interesting Legends of Tomorrow events the show has pushed forward. Legends of Tomorrow Season 4 also introduced two guests besides Constantine, the shapeshifter Charlie, and Mona Wu. They join the team to use their abilities and knowledge with the Legends to stop the free demons from wrecking Earth. Some of the new characters began relationships with others within the Legends of Tomorrow, which led to only heartbreak and stronger ties between the members for what Season 4 had planned for the Legends of Tomorrow. Outside of the addition of Charlie, Constantine, and Mona Wu, Legends of Tomorrow held the same cast of Sara Lance, The Atom, and more, but Firestorm wasn’t part of Season 4.

Legends of Tomorrow Season 4 Detailed

While the end of Legends of Tomorrow Season 3 had Constantine confront the Legends of Tomorrow about the various other demons wreaking havoc across the timeline, a more evil demon than Mallus was mostly behind the occurrences against the natural timeline. The demon in question, Neron, gained control of a member of the Time Bureau which gave him an inside look at those that would wish to stop him after his previous imprisonment by John Constantine. Overall, the Legends of Tomorrow Season 4 finale fixed all that Neron had brought upon the world but also changed the timeline permanently, and one of the new members of the team was altered along with the correct timeline. Since their initial addition to the Legends of Tomorrow lore and storyline, the totems of Zambesi used to defeat Mallus have remained a prominent point in the Arrowverse show as magic and magical items slowly grew into common objects to the Legends of Tomorrow. As they have remained a topic of discussion in Legends of Tomorrow, the change in the timeline changed for Zari, a character introduced in the previous season. She was replaced by her brother Behrad, the wielder of the Air totem.
