You may or may not be aware that Secretary of Housing and Urban Development Ben Carson got stuck in an elevator while visiting an affordable housing complex in Miami yesterday. It was moderately popular news but I personally think the best coverage of the event came from Jimmy Kimmel live. The show decided to share exclusive security footage of the incident. Said footage was a spoof on what most of us can only assume really happened on that elevator.
Ben Carson is easily one of the loopiest most monotone, calm sounding, “put you to sleep” kind of figures that politics has ever seen. Why should he be any different if he’s stuck on an elevator? Jimmy Kimmel nailed it as far as re-enacting how Carson would have played this entire situation. My favorite part is when Kimmel makes a crack about Carson probably enjoyed his time in there because elevator music is Carson’s “favorite kind.”
