Jane the Virgin Preview: Rafael Plans a Family Night for Him and Petra

Jane the Virgin

Rafael and Petra are getting used to being parents together in tonight’s episode of Jane the Virgin. While Rafael seems like a parenting pro at this point (thanks in large part to the time he has spent raising Mateo with Jane), Petra doesn’t seem to believe that she can be a good mother, which is why Raf tries to help reassure her with a family night.

In the sneak peek below from tonight’s all-new hour of Jane the Virgin, “Chapter Thirty-Seven,” Rafael sends away the nannies and nurses that look after Elsa and Anna so that he and Petra can spend some time taking care of their daughters together (although he does promise her that she won’t have to change a single diaper). But even with this thoughtful gesture, Petra remains worried about mothering abilities.

“I’m not sure this is for me,” Petra admits to Rafael.

“It is,” he tells her. “I just think part of the problem is that you’ve been avoiding them.”

Will Petra’s family night with Rafael and their daughters actually change her mind, or will she go back to her nonstop, workaholic ways? We’ll have to wait and see how it all unfolds in tonight’s episode.

Jane the Virgin airs Mondays at 9 p.m. on The CW. Check out the sneak peek clip from “Chapter Thirty-Seven” below:

NEW BEGINNINGS — Rafael (Justin Baldoni) and Petra (Yael Grobglas) are new parents but Petra is already back to work and appears to be not interested in motherhood. Xo (Andrea Navedo) has invited Alba’s (Ivonne Coll) old flame Pablo (guest star Marcelo Tubert) to visit. This does not sit well with Alba as she believes Pablo is cursed and will bring bad luck. Jane (Gina Rodriguez) is growing concerned that she can’t get in touch with her father, Rogelio (Jaime Camil), who is being held captive by Lola (guest star Ana De la Reguera). Brett Dier also stars. Melanie Mayron directed the episode written by Sarah Goldfinger.
