After a stellar first season in 2015, The CW’s iZombie delivered an even more critically beloved sophomore effort this past year, a second season that pushed all of the show’s characters into some very different places and ended with an incredible, action-packed finale that fans still haven’t gotten over. After Season 2, iZombie Season 3, which debuts at midseason on The CW, has a lot to live up to, but from everything series star Rose McIver was able to tease to us at San Diego Comic-Con, it sounds like the show’s third season could be even better than the second.
In the video below, McIver previews what the new season of iZombie will be like, specifically for her character, Liv Moore, who will find herself in a difficult situation when she’s caught between her human friends and family and the new zombie organization, Filmore Graves, which wants to welcome her into their ranks. Plus, McIver dishes on a couple of the new brains that Liv will be eating in Season 3, which include a dominatrix and a father whose daughter’s brain will be eaten by Major, ensuring that Liv and Major’s already complicated dynamic will get even more crazy in Season 3, at least for one episode. Additionally, McIver reflects on her favorite parts of Season 2 and describes her process for tapping into a “new character” for each episode.
