On of my favorite parody video genres is when people take particular movies or television shows and turn them into “8 Bit Classics.” There have been hundreds of these put out on the internet and I honestly think that each one (when done correctly) has some merit and entertainment value to it. My personal favorite, just because of how random it was, has to be when Shawshank Redemption was turned into an 8 bit game.
While that may never be replicated, this World of Warcraft spoof from Rkade Soup is better than most of the “turned into an NES game” videos that Youtube has to offer. I personally think that their interpretation is spot on. Not only that, I’m kind of wishing this game actually existed so that I could play it. These are also the same guys that turned Overwatch into an 8 bit game last year.
