Most of us had those moments—tears over spilled cereal, a broken pencil, or a fictional character’s haircut. What’s the most hilariously ridiculous reason you’ve ever cried? Don’t be shy, we’ve all been there!

When I was newly pregnant with twins and on bedrest, I was reading “What To Expect When You’re Expecting”. When my husband came home from work I was crying pretty hard and he asked me why honey, why are you crying. I said, “This book says I should be having emotional upsets and I”M NOT HAVING ANY”. Later he said it was all he could do to not start laughing.

Dealing with menopause sooooooo this week the most ridiculous reason I’ve cried was because I had to change toilet paper rolls, 🤣

I don’t really cry unless someone dies or I am extremely angry. It pisses me off that I cry when I am angry, so then I cry more.

Not sure if they are ridiculous.
Watership Down, watching that as a kid used to make me cry. I dare not watch it as an adult, just in case it makes me cry again.
The music video to Hurt, by Johnny Cash. That will make a grown man cry.

The song below brought me to tears I went into hysterics listening to it, I could hardly breathe. Such a rollercoaster of emotions mixed with pure technical brilliance. The vocal performance is on a par with the original singer, the legendary Freddie Mercury.

I mean, I might have cried last night because one of my beloved stuffed animal plushes has developed a hole in his paw.

Almost any kids movie and commercials. Specifically Hallmark and the Budweiser commercials they play at the holidays. Gets me every time.

I visited a Star Trek attraction in Ticonderoga NY when William Shatner was the guest. This attraction has full mockups of the bridge, sick bay, the captain’s quarters, and engineering, much of it from the original sets. It looks exactly like the show. While waiting my turn to see the bridge, the doors slid open (just like on the show) to reveal William Shatner sitting in the captain’s chair. I burst into tears, overwhelmed by nostalgia.

I was on period and went to grab some chocolate out of my stash that I keep specifically for this reason because I don’t crave chocolate like a mad man at any other time. Long story short my family had eaten it all, there was no other chocolate in the house.

It was the holidays and we were busy cooking for our extended family. My husband, as he does, was helping out. We were kinda getting each in each other’s way and were starting to get frustrated. He snips about doing something that I thought was acceptable and he did not. I don’t know what was so triggering, I was stressed, had a few drinks, but I burst out crying saying, “This is MY kitchen! Don’t tell me what to do!” and ran to another room. My MiL was freaking out, thinking we were on the brink of divorce. It was fine. It was a glitch. But dang it – it was MY kitchen and how dare he tell me what to do!

The check out lady at Kohl’s was kind to me once. Cried like a baby walking out of the store.
