“Is it true? Is it kind? Is it necessary? If it isn’t 2/3 it shouldn’t be said.”

When asking if I should do something, I was told “Let your conscience be your guide.” That short sentence has been a guiding principle of mine for a very long time.

Do not use your home as a credit card. Stop refinancing to reduce your payment and then take that money for non-essential things. If you refinance, take the lower rate but keep the higher payment. You’ll pay off your mortgage much faster.
Emergencies are understandable.
