Hey Pandas, What Movie Makes You Cry Every Time You Watch It? (Closed)

And what is the scene has you bawling like a baby?

#1

Dumbo, when Dumbo visits his mom in the cage thing and she can only reach her baby with her trunk through the bars and she rocks him and sings to him. I just can’t watch that movie. … I’m now a sobbing mess.

#2

The home movies of my husband and I before he died, but you were probably wanting a released movie so lets see……to sir with love starring LuLu and the magnificent Sidney Poitier

#3

Marley and me. Why’d he have to die

#4

1. UP (no explanation needed)
2. Big Hero 6 (when Tadashi dies)

#5

The Green Mile. Every time I watch the scene when John Coffey’s executed, I burst into tears.

#6

A dog’s purpose. I’d dont usually cry with movies but this one got me.

#7

Hachiko: A Dog’s Story
I hardly ever cry but this one gets me everytime. I had to stop watching it.

#8

There are quite a few.
A Quiet Place when the father gives his life to save his kids.
Idk why I cried but in Avengers Infinity War when Wanda had to kill Vision and when Thanos sacrifices Gamora.
Iron Man’s and Black Widow’s deaths in Avengers Endgame.
They didn’t have me “bawling like a baby” but I did shed a few silent tears.

#9

Grave of the fireflies. Makes me cry literally from the start to the end.

#10

The Outsiders, seen it and read it so many times but I always cry. There are lots more but I’m a sook when it comes to movies.

#11

What dreams may come

#12

UP. no questions asked.

#13

Rabbit Proof Fence. From 5 mins in my mum and I started crying and didn’t stop. It is a bit of a personal movie for us (I am Aboriginal adopted at birth by my gorgeous parents).
It’s a mix of it being a true story, how wide spread it was, how people were treated then and in some instances even now.

#14

i haven’t seen it more than once in fear of crying but armageddon

#15

Watching my grandparents’ 50th anniversary reception. They are both gone now so it chokes me up to see them again, looking so happy and healthy.

#16

Ghost

#17

Not a movie, but a series. After Life made me cry during every single episode.

#18

Up. I can’t watch the beginning anymore because When I saw Ellie Fredrikson die and the music turn sad I just bawl. They used the song in an Apple commercial and after I watched it I cried because the grandma died and the grandkids missed her and that broke my cold dead soul, I have a heart that can’t handle sad scenes and music.

#19

Homeward Bound and The Incredible Journey

At the end, when they tell them not to expect the older doggo

Flowers for Algernon. The Cliff Robertson one. Devastating.

#37

I’ve got a few: Dumbo (Already mentioned but I agree), A Dog’s Purpose (also mentioned), A Monster Calls, My Girl, and The Fox and the Hound. The scene in the Fox and the Hound is the one where they are talking. Todd: Copper? You’re my very best friend. Copper: And you’re mine too, Todd. Todd: And we’ll always be friends, forever, won’t we? Copper: Yeah, forever!

#38

My Girl, The Green Mile, Fried Green Tomatoes, The Upside of Anger, The Mighty, A Dog’s Purpose, Homeward Bound (I watched that with my old cat while she was dying in my arms so…), and I can’t for the life of me think of the title of the one with Hillary Swank when her husband, Gerald Butler dies and sends her to Ireland…

#46

“Hachi” (aka “Hachiko: a dogs story”) Hits me in the feels all the time, and the fact it’s based on a true story, I’m sniffling writing this :(. (Also as mentioned by others the beginning of “Up” hits me in the feels)

#51

Fly Away Home (yup, the movie with the geese). It actually inspired 12 year old me to become a pilot as an adult ❤️

#52

Casanova (the David Tennant version)
The very end, where Edith tells Casanova Henriette is on her way and she’s running to him just makes me bawl ever single time.

#53

“5 centimeters per second”…the last scene just breaks my heart…too close to home…

#54

Movies or shows or cartoons where a child goes through tough things. Someone one falls in love and then one of them die or the mother or father dies.someone is dieing of cancer.

#55

Lion! I couldn’t stand imagining Gudu’s anguish looking for his lost little brother, and on top of that the mother also lost Gudu? I imagine Gudu spending days looking for his brother and who knows if he threw himself in front of that train because he couldn’t deal with the guilt😢😢

#56

When the owner passes. I’m about to tear up thinking about it. The love that dog has just gets to you.

#57

The Good Dinosaur made me ugly cry the entire time I watched it. Arlo’s dad dies, but there was ONE funny scene where they ate fermented fruit and got drunk, that was pretty hilarious and when Arlo’s dad’s ghost told him to save Spot the human. Spot’s parents died and he became an orphan ! But he got a family to take care of him. Still can’t watch it without crying my eyes out!
