There are some movies out there that when you look back on them you realize that they had a phenomenal cast. The unfortunate thing about them is that the movies themselves were nothing to write home about. A great example of this was the feature film Buffy The Vampire Slayer. Looking back on that movie, just check out the cast. It’s ridiculous. Seriously, go on IMDB and scroll through the entire cast. You will find an obscene amount of big name talent on there. Granted Buffy was made in 1992 but still, it’s crazy.
Another movie that’s more recent is Sucker Punch. The film was made in 2011. Was it good? It was fine. Nothing special and frankly somewhat forgettable. Locked away, a young woman named Babydoll (Emily Browning) retreats to a fantasy world where she is free to go wherever her mind takes her. Determined to fight for real freedom, she finds four women — Rocket, Blondie, Amber and Sweet Pea — to join together to escape the terrible fate that awaits them. With a virtual arsenal at their disposal, the allies battle everything from samurais to serpents, while trying to decide what price they will pay for survival.
And blah blah blah. But here’s the thing. This is a Zach Snyder movie and it had one of the most amazing casts I’ve seen in a very long time. Just consider the star power today of some of these actors (not to mention director).
Here’s what the cast of Sucker Punch looks like today.
