Get Ready for Some Nostalgia: ‘Aladdin,’ ‘The Jungle Book,’ & ‘The Lion King’ Are Now on GOG.com

Speaking directly to the childhoods of millions around the world, GOG.com, the premier online destination for classic video games, announced today that they will exclusively be the home of three of Disney’s classic 16-bit platformers. Beginning today, AladdinThe Jungle Book, and The Lion King for purchase on GOG for $9.99 each individually (discounted to $8.99 for the launch) or in a bundle of all three for $19.99.

All three of these games were originally released during the Super Nintendo/Sega Genesis era, and they hold up today as some of the best platformers of that generation. It’s important to point out that these releases aren’t HD remasters, but they have all three been updated to work with modern computers. The games will preserve their original 4:3 ratio, and the remaining screen space on widescreen monitors will feature some of the original artwork, which you can see in the trailer below:

Aladdin is the November 1993 release from the Sega Genesis, which is typically considered the superior version (rather than the version released on the Super Nintendo). The Jungle Book also debuted in 1993, and The Lion King was released in December 1994.
