General Hospital fans know that Tracy Quartermaine is not here to stay forever. In fact, Jane Elliot has only one more month left as Tracy on the show, and she’s going out with a bang. Well, we don’t actually know how she is going out. It might be with a bang. It might not be with a bang. It might be with a car accident, a murder, a faked death, or an actual bang. We just don’t know. What we do know is we are officially one week into her last month as Tracy, and we are going to miss her when she’s gone. So perfectly perfect in every flawed manner, she’s all the things we love the most about her character, and we will miss her.
It’s all going down now. She’s back from Turkey, and she’s learned that her son is about to wed, and she’s got a lot to do and say before then. While we don’t know how this iconic character will spend her last month on the show, we know it won’t be making amends and doing the right thing. She’s got marriages to break up, people to blackmail, and mean comments to make to those who are in her way. She’s got a painting to find, a family to care for, and people to remind she owns them. She’s also got a little unfinished business with her ex-husband, Luke.
Yes, fans, that’s right; Luke Spencer is going to make one final appearance on the show as a tribute to the woman who has been his wife more than once, and we can’t wait to see how they are going to make this work. We also want to send a shout out to Jane Elliot for being so delightfully undelightful, witty, and downright evil at times. She’s everything amazing about daytime television, and we love her all the more for it. She’ll be missed, and we only hope she makes a few comebacks every few years to remind us why we all love and miss her so much. It’s all we’re asking for, really.
