General Hospital is known for having some issues with contract negotiations. It was only a year ago that Liz disappeared suddenly for a while because no one could come up with a satisfactory negotiation with this. It happened, but not before her prior contract was up — meaning she was out for a while. She got a much-needed vacation out of it, but she wasn’t entirely happy that this was how it turned out. Now it’s time for Franco’s character to go through the same thing. There is a very good chance he might disappear in the next few weeks since he can’t get a new contract to his liking.
What is up with this show and their contract issues? It seems to us they don’t seem to value their actors and actresses much if they can’t come up with something in any good time. Of course, the actors and actresses who want more time off, more money, and more of everything else might not make it easy on the show. But since it’s just this show in particular that seems to have characters leave left and right because of contract information, it makes us all wonder if there is a specific reason that GH is the one show that has this issue. We don’t really know, but we do know there is a chance Franco might be gone pretty soon.
Will it have anything to do with an open-ended storyline? Or will it have everything to do with the fact that he is working with Jake to find out what is going on with the allegedly deceased Helena Cassadine? We really just think she’s alive about to take some hostages. He might be one. It might be a situation in which his fate is unknown and he could come back or not. We don’t know, but we will keep you up-to-date as we find out more information about this contract.
