General Hospital fans had a chance to spend a long weekend with friends and family celebrating the reason for the season. It’s easy to feel that way when you don’t have a show to watch for four solid days, and we barely have anything to recap for you that you even remember. It’s been since Friday that the show aired a new episode, and we know you are missing everyone in Port Charles and the drama they have to bring to the table in the New Year. There’s a lot going on around here, and we like it. We like that it’s all a mess, but for now, we just hope you had a beautiful and Merry Christmas. We hope that you were able to celebrate with your family and your loved ones, and that it was the most beautiful holiday for you and yours. We love that, and we hope that you have a chance to love that, too.
And now we recap. Kevin is still being held captive by his twin brother Ryan, who is pretending to be Kevin so he can torment and kill people. No one knows it, but we are just shocked that Laura hasn’t figured this out yet — especially since her own husband left her for Ava of all people. It’s been a mess, and it’s still that way for many. There’s Sam, who is being tormented by a secret stalker her wants to see her miserable, and she’s not even sure who it is. We don’t know how this will go, either, and it will be a problem. But that’s going to change for her before much longer — we think. We think that there is a chance she will learn who is messing with her and make it all better.

Just when the show cannot get enough of Nelle and all the drama she brings, she’s back and there is a showdown. She might be jailed, but that doesn’t mean anything for anyone around here. She’s better off gone forever, if you ask us.

Ryan is there to make sure his brother is entirely miserable and he’s happy to make sure that his brother knows what he is doing to ruin his life as he pretends to be him. Kevin is currently helpless, and he is beside himself. He knows that his brother has ruined his marriage, that his beloved wife is somewhere thinking that he no longer loves her, and he is crushed. He is even more crushed thinking about all the other horrible things he thinks and suspects his brother is out there in Port Charles doing as him, and it’s been a mess. He’s just not himself, and it’s not working out for him well. He wants to be set free, but he can’t seem to make that happen. Will he ever find his way out of here?
Meanwhile, Lulu has learned a little something that she is looking to share with Laura. There is not much that she can do to help her at the moment, but she can investigate a few things and bring her the information that she is finding. This means that we might get to see things begin to unfold in the new year, but we cannot be sure that there is nothing else going on we don’t know about. There’s so much happening, and we aren’t sure that it won’t be getting a lot worse before it begins to get better. However, we can hope that the people of Port Charles don’t lose anyone else to these murders — though that doesn’t seem entirely likely to any of us.
