General Hospital Characters We Never Really Loved

When a show has been on the air for more than 50 years, it’s safe to say they’ve had a few actors appear as various characters. General Hospital fans have some of the best characters on television, and it’s why we love Port Charles so much. However, this is one of those situations when you wonder if there are ever any bad characters people just don’t like. Well, we do. And we aren’t afraid to share with you the fact that we just don’t like some people all that much. While we love most of the characters, there are a few here and there we just struggled to enjoy. Do you agree?

It might be something we can’t explain fully, but there really is just something we don’t love about this character. She’s a problem for most of us in some way, shape, or form. She has no real story line. She’s got no real ambition, and she’s nothing like her father. When you are the daughter of Sonny Corinthos, you have to uphold a certain situation. You have to be totally awesome, big time and majorly cool, and she is none of the above. In fact, she’s a bit whiny. She complains about everything. She has a problem with more than she does not, and she’s always waiting around for Sonny to come in and make sure she’ all right when she has problems. Then she complains about him and never fully lives her life. We just can’t get on board with her when she’s around.

Remember when there was a moment when Emily died and everyone’s hearts broke? She was one of the best characters the show had ever seen, and she was beloved by so many. It was a crushing blow, and she’s still missed so much we can’t even handle it. It turns out, however, that there might be a little more to this story than we can imagine. When she died, it seems that they thought they could bring in another character to play her twin sister that no one knew about. Except fans were not amused, they were not in the middle of a situation where they wanted to see this story. Emily was Emily, and fans loved her. This girl was not Emily, she could not replace Emily, and no one wanted to see her around as this character. So, that means we are going to see her come and go in the same year because no one liked her, couldn’t get on board with her, and basically hated all her stories.

Remember when she showed up in 2001? We really wanted to like her. We did. She’s a famous face in the soap world. We were dying to see her turn into someone we could respect and enjoy, and we were in the moment when she showed up to work as a nurse and find her old boyfriend. It’s not a big secret that Jensen Buchanan is a soap star in every right, and she is someone whose face has been around the block. But, the character just didn’t make sense. She had no connection to anyone. She had no situation with anyone. She had a very thin line between love and hate, and she was not going to have what we considered a great line. She was really not someone we could get on board with, and she only lasted a year.

Remember that time Maxie decided she needed to go on a spiritual journey with the people in her life? She wanted to be a more free spirited and serious person with some serious zen-like situations in her life. She went on this journey, she met this man, and she fell hard for him with his long hair and his calm demeanor. Except calm is not the word. Weird works for us. And flaky and strange. And he didn’t fit. She brought him home to some raised eyebrows, and he just never grew on fans. So the show decided his introduction was obviously a poor idea, and he was out before he even had a chance to be in. And that was a good decision.
