Resident Evil
What it’s about: You may think Resident Evil needs no introduction, but we think it does: a re-introduction to be precise. While the flicks did a decent job of boxing the look and feel into a 90 minute thrill ride, the movies jettisoned most of the game’s dense ‘˜secret society’mythology and enthralling global scope, placing the action in confined ‘arenas’ and transforming the Umbrella Corporation from device of darkened and deepening mystery to a canned representation of sniveling board-room baddies. The original Resident Evil skein was more mystery oriented, with the Umbrella corporation looming in the shadows as a plague of zombies and mutants was investigated from the outside. Look at the storyline for the various games, comics, and S. D. Perry’s novelizations, and you will see that Resident Evil encompasses a huge mythology – yet offers plenty of action and hyperbole to make it in the episodic world.
Who should play who: Who should play who: Resident Evil is such a huge brand, you don’t need to play around with stunt casting – go straight for the unknowns. The real question is who to include as characters, and when? Chris Redfield and Jill Valentine are the obvious choices, but as the movies have demonstrated tweaking the mythos to fit the medium is definitely an option. Transform S.T.A.R.S from elite cops to a biological investigation team and you can write your own protagonists into the R.E. universe.
Why it’s good TV: Why it’s good TV: Zombies have long been denied their shot at prime-time stardom, but that is coming to an end with The Walking Dead. While I think Frank Darabont walks on water, and the graphic novels are great, Resident evil is a much sturdier mythology with the potential for more ‘˜holy sh*t’moments that transcend simple gore or hedonism. Plus the zombies have tendrils.

Fallout and Alan Wake series would be sweet!!Also I think a Metal Gear Solid show or even a Gears of War one (the second game had a more elaborated stoy with some emotive and surprise moments) would kick ass! (specially MGS)
That's because every time it's been tried before the game was squeezed into a 2 hour movie event, which can never really work. Think about it. A game's storyline is interwoven through 20+ hours of gameplay at minimum. Even the subplots you find along the way are integral to making the overall storyline work. Cut all that out and it's a challenge to name ANY game's story that makes sense. Except maybe Zelda.
liam neson should play the father! he was both the model and the voiceactor of fallout 3's "dad"
