With Thanksgiving rapidly approaching, images and recipes for roasted Thanksgiving turkeys emerge like mushrooms after rain. It wouldn’t be the World Wide Web if someone didn’t come up with an Internet challenge for this American holiday, and so many parents around the country were quickly sent into terror and bouts of facepalming as their children requested “help” with cooking a 25lb bird in a microwave as a part of this hilariously funny joke.
Although it is possible to cook a Thanksgiving dinner bird in a microwave (and some swear it tastes pretty good), many mothers in the responses were absolutely horrified by such prospect and offered their own time-tested recipes. While some genuinely tried to help their “poor” offspring in trouble, other moms swore to disown their kids for attempting such monstrosity, not buying the whole funny prank thing at all.
