Fun Facts About General Hospital Emmy Nominee Laura Wright

General Hospital fans have a lot to go on these days, and that is because the 2019 Emmys happened recently. They were good, and they were amazing, and we are just sitting here excited and happy that things worked out in their favor. They might not have won as many as they were nominated for, but they had so many nominations. We are spending some time recognizing all the nominees and winners over the next few weeks, and that’s because we want to get to know a bit more about them. One of the nominees for the Outstanding Lead Actress is Laura Wright, and she plays Carly Corinthos. She’s spectacular, even if she did not win. She and her co-star, Maura West, were both nominated, and we love them both. We already got to know a bit more about West, so now it’s time to learn more about Wright.

She’s Not the OG

But, she is the longest of them all. She might not be the one who originated this role. She might not even be the second person to play this role. She might be someone who came in after several other women took on this role, rocked it, and made it their own, but she also made it clear that she’s in it to win it. She’s here to win. She’s here to make the most of things. She’s not someone who is going to sit back and allow anyone else to out do her in this role, and we think she’s made that pretty clear and obvious. She’s rocked this role for many years, and she gets to leave one day knowing that she is the longest-reigning Carly on the market. We love that, and we cannot wait to see how she will take that and run with it in her own right.

She Loves Her Costars

If you ever wonder if she is anything like the character she plays, you can rest assured she is not. She loves everyone she works with, and they have a wonderful relationship. She’s managed to keep her life in check by being the kind of person who is good at what she does, who makes the most of what she has to offer, and she’s able to make her situation a good one. She’s not going to allow anyone else to come in and make her feel bad about being at work, and she makes it her point to be friendly with everyone. They have a great relationship with her, and she with them. She loves her costars, and that makes her job that much more fun. We also love to see this.

She Brought Sonny Back

Did you know that there was a time when Maurice Benard was done with Carly? He felt that his character and the Carly character were over and done, and he didn’t want to be part of that anymore. He felt that their characters were no good for one another, that they did not make much sense together, and that they didn’t have much to offer. But, then, the show brought in a new woman to play the role. He wasn’t sure Laura Wright could make fans believe in Carly again. He didn’t think that she could do the job and make it believable again, but she did just that. She made it her mission in life to get Carly to a place she’d not been before, and she rocked it.

She’s A Workaholic

Her friends and coworkers all have the same thing to say about her. She’s a consummate workhorse and professional. She cannot get out of her own way, she cannot make herself stop learning or growing, and she cannot make it a day without trying to outdo herself in her other roles and her own acting skills. She’s a woman who is not just good at what she does, she is spectacular at what she does, and we think that it’s pretty darn obvious to us that she rocks with her job, her skills, and her life. She’s someone we love, and we cannot get enough of her. She is so good, and we can’t wait to see what else she does and comes up with.
