One Big Recap
If you were hoping that the series was going to be a new spin on ‘Bizarre Foods’ and the other crazy things that we often see Andrew Zimmern do, that’s not the case. ‘The Zimmern List’, as we said before, is actually going to be just one big recap of the places and dishes that we saw on ‘Bizarre Foods’, showing viewers the best of the best, and the favorite things, that Zimmern saw on his travels.
Redirected Focus
This time around, Zimmern is making sure that the focus of the series is specifically on the food, and the hard work that is put into making these dishes by those he meets. He wants viewers to get the full story of each dish, rather than seeing footage of him walking around and talking aimlessly to the camera. Kudos for using your minutes wisely, sir.
Making It Personal
With this new series, as we have mentioned before, Zimmern is taking a different approach not just with production, but with making it more personal as well. This time, he is planning to take the viewers to places that he would visit whether he was filming the series or not, and allowing everyone to truly see his favorite places and things in each city he visits.
Straying From ‘Bizarre’
As we said before, this series is going to have a different take than that of ‘Bizarre Foods’, as we are used to seeing. This time around with ‘The Zimmern List’, Zimmern is focusing on some of the best restaurants and eateries that are out there, and why they are so adored by people everywhere as well.
Sticking To The States
In this new series, Andrew Zimmern is also sticking to cuisine and fine dining areas that are located in the United States. Each episode that airs features a new city that has made Zimmern’s “list”, allowing him to show you the greatest and most delicious places to stop whenever you decide to visit. That’s not to say that he won’t expand his horizons when the second season comes around, but for now, we are liking the locality.
Honestly, we are loving this new approach on finding those diamonds in the rough when it comes to dining and visiting new areas of the country, and Zimmern is just the guy to take us on the journey. You can tune into new episodes of ‘The Zimmern List’ on the Travel Channel, airing Tuesday nights.
