Zeeko Zaki is an American actor who has appeared in a number of TV shows in recent times. For the most part, his roles have been minor. Became Interested in Acting Because of Seussical
Zaki became interested in acting when he saw a production of Seussical when he was in high school. For those who are unfamiliar with that name, Seussical is a musical based on Dr. Seuss’s stories, though it should be noted that it takes a lot more inspiration from Horton Hears a Who! than the others. Said musical started out on Broadway, where it became popular enough to spawn a number of tours. Something that resulted in it becoming popular with schools as well as regional theatres.
Became Interested in Acting Because He Wanted to Be Cheered
With that said, it is interesting to note that Zaki was moved by the production of Seussical for a couple of reasons. First, he was impressed by their performance. Second, he was amazed by the performers being cheered by the members of the audience, so much so that he wanted the same experience. As a result, it is these two impressions that led to Zaki going down the road towards becoming an actor.
Signed Up For Beauty and the Beast
As a result, Zaki made the choice to sign up to participate in a high school production of Beauty and the Beast. Presumably, this would have been the musical that was based on the animated movie, which in turn, was based on the French fairy tale. Given the memorable nature of the animated movie’s music, it should come as no surprise to learn that the musical based upon it was a huge success, thus leading to it becoming popular for high schoolers to perform. With that said, it should be mentioned that Zaki didn’t stop with Beauty and the Beast but continued to perform throughout high school.
Took a Break During College
In college, Zaki took a break from acting while he studied business. It wasn’t until he had transferred schools that he decided to participate in acting once again by signing up for his first play that was not a musical. He performed well, so much so that he caught the attention of a casting director who was watching the play. As a result, Zaki was brought to the attention of Susan Walters, which resulted in an audition and then the start of his career as a professional actor.
Cast As Lead in Dick Wolf’s FBI Drama
For some time, it has been reported that Dick Wolf was making a drama about the New York branch of the FBI for CBS. Now, it seems that he has chosen Zaki to be the lead for the upcoming drama. Those who are interested in this news should know that the FBI drama is expected to start filming in the spring of 2019, meaning that interested individuals can expect it to start broadcasting as soon as the summer of 2019.
