Five Things You Didn’t Know about Sean Gunn

Sean Gunn might be the kind of actor that not a lot of people know about largely because he’s not around for a lot of extended scenes unless his presence is really called for. His prominence in film has been building steadily but his appearances in TV have been outpacing those very easily. He’s a rather gifted actor that tends to play parts you might forget depending on the show or movie or remember very well.  As of now he’s been a notable presence in the MCU and could be seen again moving forward.

He’s skilled enough to take on more than one part in movie as well.

5. His siblings are all in show business in one form or another.

One of them is a filmmaker that tends to use Sean in his movies now and again, while two of the others are a producer and a screenwriter. It doesn’t seem as though there was really any doubt where they were all going to go and what they were going to do when it came down to getting work, since all but one of them went into some form of the industry.

4. Gunn has been around since 1996.

He’s not new to the game at any stretch, as he’s been around for a little over a couple of decades and has likely seen enough that could give him the edge when it comes to acting and when it comes to which parts he’d like to go for. That’s not to say that he always has his pick, as some parts will always go to whomever the directors want and could consider someone else as a more viable prospect. But he at least knows the game enough to take it in stride.

3. He’s also played the physical part of Rocket Racoon.

This is something you’d have to find out by looking at the behind the scenes production shots of Guardians of the Galaxy. Bradley Cooper did the voice obviously but Sean Gunn was making the little trash panda come to life by wearing a special green suit and a mask of Rocket’s face. It was a grueling job but someone had to do it, and Sean was obviously elected.

2. The number of TV shows he’s been on is quite extensive.

Outide of movies Gunn has been keeping busy since there’s always something he can do and a role he could possibly fill. He’s been on everything from Gilmore Girls to Bones and has put in a great performance every time. It’s very likely that he’s not always recognized depending on the role he’s playing but the fact that he’s so diverse is amazing. It takes more skill than many know to pull off so many roles in one’s lifetime.

1. He played Kraglin on Guardians of the Galaxy.

Kraglin is one of Yondu’s mercenaries that helps to free Yondu and Rocket in the second movie. He’s also the guy that they come to depend on to get them way from Ego before the living planet explodes and takes them with it.

He’s skilled, no doubt about it.
