Reginae Carter is known for her contributions as an R&B, hip-hop and rap artist. She is the daughter of Lil Wayne who has shown the world that she has talents of her own. Her work includes “Joe Jackson and the Bigger Band Live from the Count Basie Theater” (2012); Violin Masters: Two Gentlemen of Cremona (2010) and more recently “Pure Love: The Voice of Ella Fitzgerald” (2017). She was fortunate to be born into a family that gave her exposure to the music industry and the world is better for it. She’s enjoying tremendous success for her musical talents at age 18, but here are five things that you didn’t know about Reginae Carter.
1. She was falsely accused of being in a public brawl
Reginae is in the public eye and nearly everything that happens in her life is a topic of interest. The only problem with being in the spotlight is that sometimes, facts get twisted. This happens to most celebrities but Reginae quickly addressed rumors of her being involved in a fight. She stated that it wasn’t her fight. A friend of hers was involved in an altercation. She merely intervened and tried to break up the battle. Rumors speculated that she had been jumped, but she made it clear that wasn’t the case.
2. She plans to go to college
At just 18 years of age, it is time to consider colleges. She confirmed that she does plan to attend. She’s a bit sketchy about which institution she will enroll in. One of her considerations is Clark Atlanta, but she’s not confirming it one way or another. Who could blame her. It’s more difficult for celebs to attend university when they face the threat of photogs and journalists interrupting their studies.
3. Reginae was a part of OMG
Officially Miss Guided was a teenage girl group. Reginae spent a brief period of her life performing with them. Although she didn’t get a lot of notoriety from this, it did give her some valuable experiences.
4. She has a clothing line
The multi-talented teen has branched out into a few different ventures. In addition to achieving success as a hip hop/rap/R&B artist, she also has her own clothing line. The diverse young lady launched the”Reginae Carter Collection” in November of 2013. Her second line which she called “Shut Up” was released in February of 2015. It looks like she has a few different irons in the fire and is working hard to establish herself in multiple venues. Fashion and music are her forte.
5. She is still coping with family tragedy
Her father’s arrest for weapons and illegal marijuana charges were difficult to cope with. While this happened in 2007 and he has since been released, she lost her father for a period of time at a young age. The good news is that he and her mother are considering reconciliation. She was close to her two uncles Rudy and Josh, who were found dead inside of their car in 2016. The recent loss is something that she is still dealing with.
