At first glance it might seem like Alexi Ashe is just the good-looking wife of comedian Seth Meyers, but once you delve into her bio you get to find out a lot more than that. Honestly it’s a nice surprise to find out who she is and what she does since it gives a person a lot of hope that humanity does have a future and those who are bound to care for it are a lot like Alexi. Her spirit and heart are both ferocious it would seem when it comes to doing her job and caring for her family.
So she’s more than just someone Seth brings to events, a lot more.
5. She’s a human rights lawyer.
Out of so many jobs in the world this has to be one of those that can take a serious toll on a person. They have to see the horrible things that people do to each other and most if not all of them gladly defend the people that are being abused and make sure that their abusers are put on trial and shown to the public for who they really are. This job seems like it would take a lot of heart and a good deal of fortitude to go through with.
4. She’s married to Seth Meyers.
The two met in 2008 at the wedding of a friend. Ironically that friend’s marriage ended a while back but Seth and Alexi are still together and going strong. They married in 2013 and have had two children since then. They have to work to keep their marriage alive and full of passion but it’s still just as vibrant as ever. And honestly who doesn’t have to work at their marriage from time to time to keep it fresh?
3. She gave birth to her second child on the floor of a lobby.
It sounds rough and it no doubt was but thankfully their child is just fine and thriving as is Alexi. It’s not the ideal spot to give birth but it almost sounds like the little tyke came early and Alexi wasn’t expecting it at all. Anyone that’s had a child come early might know too well that when the kid wants to come out or the woman’s body is trying to expel them for whatever reason there’s not a lot of time to do anything but prepare.
2. She had a bout of food poisoning during the rehearsal dinner for her own wedding.
Give her credit for being a trooper on this one. She ate a bad oyster apparently and had to be taken to the hospital to be looked after. Yet the next day instead of following the doctor’s advice she decided to make her way down the aisle and held it together for the ceremony. Yep, she’s just that tough, and determined obviously.
1. She fights primarily against sex trafficking.
Given the heinous nature of sex trafficking for men, women, boys and girls, this would take a lot out of a person on an average basis. Alexi continues the good fight however and has made quite a living while doing it.
See? She’s a LOT more than just Seth Meyers’ wife.
