I was already scared enough posting the initial screenshots, poster and tiny tiny teaser for the movie adaptation of Stephen King’s It. But now I have the pleasure of sharing a two and a half minute teaser with all of you. If the novel hasn’t scared you then this new rendition of Pennywise is certainly going to freak you out. Don’t get me wrong. Tim Curry’s Pennywise in 1990 was freaky enough as it is (any scary clown is) but there’s no way I’m getting any sleep tonight.
King’s iconic, child-murdering monster is here to haunt your nightmares again, this time brought to life by Bill Skarsgaard (Hemlock Grove) and director Andrés Muschietti (Mama). We wanted to bring you the trailer as soon as possible, but we’ll have our thoughts up soon.
It opens September 8, 2017, and also stars Jaeden Lieberher, Finn Wolfhard, Jack Dylan Grazer, Wyatt Oleff, Chosen Jacobs, and Jeremy Ray Taylor.
Watch the first trailer below.
New Line Cinema’s horror thriller “IT,” directed by Andrés Muschietti (“Mama”), is based on the hugely popular Stephen King novel of the same name, which has been terrifying readers for decades.
When children begin to disappear in the town of Derry, Maine, a group of young kids are faced with their biggest fears when they square off against an evil clown named Pennywise, whose history of murder and violence dates back for centuries.
