Eddie Vedder Sings for the Chicago Cubs in New Baseball Ad

Honestly it doesn’t get “Eddie Vedder” than having the pleasure of featuring Pearl Jam’s front man not once, but twice in the same day.  See what I did there?  Any better?  Eddie Vedder?  Yeah, it’s awesome.    Anyway, if any of you fans of Vedder out there know Eddie, you’ll know that this man is a die hard Chicago Cubs fan.   So it was awesome when he decided to make an appearance in one of their latest commercials.

He appears as as a jingle writer in a new ad for the (fake) Bryzzo Souvenir Company and the upcoming baseball season. A mash-up of Cubs sluggers’ Kris Bryant and Anthony Rizzo’s last names, Bryzzo co. specializes in delivering souvenir baseballs to fans via home runs. “We put the ding in dingers,” the duo proclaim in both their 2016 and 2017 commercials.  Here are the lyrics to Vedder’s proposed jingle.

“Gone gone home run, this one’s gonna go, kiss it goodbye, that ball was Bryzzo’d!” Of course he’s sitting with Anthony Rizzo and Kris Bryant who are loving it.  So far this is easily the best commercial to start the baseball season.  I’m sure there will be plenty more.
