The main goal for any music festival is to make it better and bigger each year. The Stagecoach Music Festival seems to be just in line for that goal with the revelation of one of its main headliners. The three-day festival in Indio, California will have one full night of none other than the country giant Garth Brooks.
Brooks has been busy the last few years. He released a couple of albums in the last four years and has been touring nonstop. Brooks will be using the music festival’s stage as a final destination before he heads back into retirement. As prolific as Brooks’ musical career has been, he’s actually never played at a festival before. This means that his Stagecoach appearance will be even more memorable for him and his fans. There’s been no official announcement yet, but this Garth Brooks’ name is all over the news with the information leak. Things can still change, though, so keep an ear open. The festival doesn’t happen until April 2018 after all.
It’s never too early to start planning for next year, so there are a few things you should know about the festival. As per any festival, there are guides and articles you should review, so you know what to do once you get there. The location is always at the Empire Polo Grounds, so you can begin looking into accommodations, especially if you plan to country it out the entire weekend. The festival runs from Friday to Sunday, and we can pretty much guarantee that Garth Brooks will take that final night on stage.
Make sure to watch out for presale dates, since the usual dates of July has already come and gone, and we still have no tickets to buy. We’re expecting tickets to go on sale by October, but they go fast, especially the VIP passes. These are great and usually give you a chance to get up close to some of the artists. If you’re only looking to get general admission, you shouldn’t have to worry about tickets selling out, but prices do increase as the festival dates get closer. Just to be sure, be prepared to buy tickets as soon as they go live.
While we’re still waiting for the full lineup, we can only reminisce about last festival’s Shania Twain, Dierks Bentley, and Kenny Chesney combo. It was surreal to say the least, and we’re sure that the coming festival will only have the best country music has to offer. We can also expect much of the same vibe country music brings: tons of laid-back fun. You can bring the family; you can go with friends. Rent an RV and party it out on the grounds all day and all night. It’s one big weekend of endless fun and entertainment, and if you’ve never been before, now’s the time to go. Garth Brooks will be on one of the coolest stages in the festival music industry, and you’re definitely not going to want to miss any of it.
