I’m pretty sure that will all of the Marvel, DC and other million and a half promos, teasers, and posters coming out the real one you were waiting for was “The Diary of a Wimpy Kid.” All jokes aside though, a new trailer is here. You know who else isn’t joking? Author Jeff Kinney who created this book-series. It’s one of the most successful book series of all time. While it’s not Harry Potter and J.K. Rowling I think it’s safe to say that Kinney doesn’t have to work another day in his entire life.
Anyway, 20th Century Fox has debuted the first teaser trailer and poster for Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Long Haul! In the latest Diary of a Wimpy Kid installment, a family road trip to attend Meemaw’s 90th birthday party goes hilariously off course — thanks to Greg’s newest scheme to (finally!) become famous. The film features an all-new cast, including Jason Ian Drucker, Charlie Wright, Owen Asztalos, Tom Everett Scott and Alicia Silverstone.
Alicia Silverstone? I know she’s all growns up and she’s all growns up but man, I really miss the days of her in movies like The Babysitter or when she was in Aerosmith videos. It’s hard to believe that was 20 years ago. Yes, 20 years ago. I’m going to go cry now.
20th Century Fox will release Wimpy Kid in theaters on May 19, 2017.
