The young star is everything that the professional wrestling world loves, and she’s not afraid to try something new to up her game. Deonna was born Deonna Lynn Purrazzo, and she’s a Jersey girl. To be more specific, she’s from Jefferson Township. She was born there, she grew up there, and she spent her entire life training there after she discovered the concept of this world.
3. She Was Released
If anyone thinks that anyone is safe from the effects of COVID-19, you are so wrong. This is a superstar who was released from her contract due the simple fact that the pandemic has caused companies all over the world to lose revenue, and her employer had to release her and many others from their employ.
4. She Saw the End Coming
Surprisingly, though, she saw this long before the pandemic. She knew when she was given a fight to have with another competitor and then nothing was on the schedule afterward. She felt that things would have been a bit different had she been on the schedule, but that was simply not the case for her or the family she had.
5. She Keeps Her Personal Life Private
Many people mistakenly assume that young people are just looking to get their lives all over the internet at this point, but that is just not the case. You see, she’s one of the young people who prefers to keep as much to herself as possible, and that is a thing we love about her. She’s got it all going on, and she’s got it going on in a good way.
6. She Dealt with A Lot
One of the issues she felt she was dealing with in her career prior to being let go is that they didn’t think that she was ready to go on television. She tried all she could do to make them see she was ready and that she could do this, but her employers did not see that from her. She was lost, and they seemed not to care.
7. She Was Notified of Her Release
She is one of the very few lucky people released from NXT who was notified of her release prior to it happening. Many people were not notified, and they had the most unfortunate situation of finding out on the internet that this happened to them. We cannot even believe that this was allowed to happen to anyone.

What we really love about this pro wrestler is that she’s got a serious sense of faith. Her Instagram bio states “Matthew 5:14” and we love that verse. It’s all about being the light in the world that is dark, and we feel this is a lovely reminder to everyone. Even if you are not spiritual or religious, you can take from this verse and use it to remind yourself that the darkness can surround you every single day, but that it cannot be used against you if you are the light in the world.
9. She’s a Dog Lover
A dog lover is almost always a good person, right? Obviously, there are always exceptions to the rules, but we think she’s the kind of gal who is definitely a good person. She’s close to her family, she loves dogs, she loves her faith. That’s a big deal. She has a sweet pup who she calls Fitzy, and she loves to show him off on social media. We like that one.
10. She’s Embraced 26
She turned 26 in the summer of 2020, and she’s glad about that. She said in her Instagram photo on her birthday about the age of 25 that she is “letting you go; along with all the grief and uncertainty you came with,” and that’s how she clearly feels about letting go of that age.
